The Maarerlebnis course, which comprises 230 km of signposted paths and is part of Europe’s largest Nordic Walking Fitness Park Ahr-Rhine-Eifel, was officially opened on June 17, 2005. Nordic Walkers, hikers and runners have a choice of six different trails starting from three points in Daun, Schalkenmehren and Gillenfeld.
