Culture in Potsdam
In addition to its historic heritage Potsdam offers an exciting and rich modern culture and art scene. In the historic center of the city the Nikolai Hall, the Brandenburg-Prussian History Museum and the Film Museum present an exciting crossover between classic and modern. Potsdam’s latest cultural site is in Schiffbauer lane: the new Hans Otto Theater now stands in an attractive location by the waterside. In addition, the Waschhaus, the Fabrik and various other free-lance theater groups present numerous events and festivals incorporating music, film, dance and modern visual and performing arts.
