Hiking in the Sauerland
The Kahler Asten-Lenneplätze and Baerenberg-Weg hiking trails are highly recommended. A trail which is well-known far beyond our borders, is the Rothaar Trail, also known as the ‘Sensory Route, which goes from Brilon, via Willingen, Winterberg (`Kahler Asten), Schmallenberg, Kirchhundem right across our beautiful region and on down to Dillenburg. You can also book Rothaar Trail Hiking Packages (several days) that include accommodation and meals at each destination along the way.
