In the footsteps of Beethoven
The house in Bonn where the famous composer was born is a must-see for music lovers from around the globe. The fact that Ludwig von Beethoven was born here and spent his childhood here is considered by the city of Bonn as its legacy. For this reason, since 1999 the city hosts the International Beethoven Festival each year, including guest performances by highly esteemed artists. The music festival, which turns the whole city into a truly ‘Beethovian tumult’, is also characterized by the famous Beethoven Hall Orchestra, which plays a significant role in the cultural life of the city.
