Schynige Platte
The Schynige Platte train takes you from Wilderswil to the wildflower gardens of the Schynige Platte. The 7.26 km rack and pinion train climbs 1,420 meters in altitude. The nature along the way is nothing short of breathtakingly beautiful, with a particularly unique segment following the Graetli Tunnel (5.6 km). The Schynige Platte train has been running since June 14, 1893 and was converted to electricity in 1914.
