The Halle Zoo is not like other zoos. More than 1,700 animals live on 9 hectares with special enclosures for predators, elephants and crocodiles, all harmoniously integrated into the mountain side upon which the zoo is built. The Dorint Hotel Charlottenhof’s mascot, the penguin Lotti, also lives here.
