The flint stone fields

The flint stone fields are located north of the Baltic resort of Binz, between Prora and Mukran. This one-of-a-kind occurrence makes the narrow heath with the flint stone fields a natural site of international importance. The main feature of the fields is the 14 boulder ramparts, each approximately 2 km long, lying one behind the other and running parallel to the Baltic coast, all consisting of about 90% flint stone.
