Data protection – Dorint GmbH
As a provider, the Dorint GmbH is very particular about its commitment to data protection and has designed its offer so that only an absolutely essential minimum of personal data is collected, processed and used.
Under no circumstances will personal data ever be hired out or sold to any third party for advertising purposes. Personal data gathered in the context of the Dorint Bonus Programme will be used only and exclusively for implementing that programme. Personal data collected in the process of registration for the e-mail newsletter will be used and processed only and exclusively for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The e-mail newsletter includes the option of removing yourself from the mailing list. All you need to do in this case is to click the "Unsubscribe" link.
Personal data gathered in the process of making bookings or reservations will be used and processed only and exclusively for handling the booking or reservation process and the hosting contract. No use will be made of the data for any other purpose.
Access to personal data is only granted to persons who are informed of the legal provisions relating to data protection and who, in accordance with the prevailing statutory regulations, have undertaken to comply with these provisions. In accessing the data they will, in all cases, only do so to the extent requisite for the implementation of the contractual relationship.
You can formally object to the processing and use of your personal data at any time. In accordance with the provisions contained in §§ 34 and 35 of Germany's Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), you can also request that your personal data be corrected, blocked and/or deleted at any time.
Use of analysis programs
The executive body conducts analyses of customers' behaviour in relation to their use of its service and/or arranges for these to be conducted. User profiles are generated for this purpose in an anonymous or pseudonymous form. The generation of user profiles is for the sole purpose of constantly improving the service provided by the executive body.
For its web analysis, the executive body uses technology provided by the company "etracker GmbH".
The technology provided by "etracker GmbH" (www.etracker.com) is used on this website to collect and store data for marketing and optimisation purposes. It is possible to generate pseudonymous user profiles from such data. The deployment of cookies enables this to be done. Cookies are small text files, which are stored locally in the buffer / cache of the internet browser used by visitors to the site. The cookies allow the internet browser to be recognised. The data collected using the etracker technology will never be used to personally identify users of this website nor combined with personal data relating to the bearer of a pseudonym unless the person(s) concerned has/have specifically agreed to this happening. Objection may be made at any time to the collection and storage of this data, and this will be effective for the future.
The executive body uses so-called "cookies" in order to individually design and optimise customers' online experience and the time they spent online. A cookie is a text file which is either temporarily filed in your computer's memory ("session cookie") or stored on the hard disk ("permanent" cookie). Cookies contain information, for example, on a user's previous hits on the server in question and/or information on which offers were previously accessed. Cookies will not be used to run programs or to install viruses on your computer. Quite the opposite: The main purpose of cookies is to provide an offer specially designed to suit the customer, and to make the use of the service as comfortable as possible.
The executive body uses both session cookies and permanent cookies.
The executive body primarily uses "session cookies" which are not stored on the customer's hard disk but are automatically deleted whenever the customer leaves the browser. In such cases, session cookies are used for login authentication and for load balancing (i.e. for offsetting system load).
In addition, the executive body uses so-called "permanent cookies" to store the personal user settings a customer has entered while using the service it provides, and in order to allow it to personalise and improve its service. The permanent cookies ensure that, whenever customers return to the executive body's website, they will once again find their personal settings there. In addition, the service provider to whom the executive body has delegated the analysis of user behaviour uses permanent cookies in order to be able to recognise returning users. These providers only ever store the data transmitted by the cookie in an anonymous form. No correlation to customers' IP addresses is stored.
Cookies for the placing of interest-related offers
When arrangements, packages and offers are viewed on the website, these are stored in a cookie, which is retained on the customer's hard disk for 90 days from their last visit to one of these pages. In the event of the website being revisited within this period, the cookie is read and an offer suited to the interests may be displayed.
You can completely prevent these offers being displayed by clicking on this link in order to opt out. This will set a cookie which prevents them being displayed. Deletion of all cookies on the website - whether intentional or unintentional - can result in this deactivation being reversed.
(1) Avoiding cookies
Customers have the option of rejecting the placing of cookies at any time. This is normally done by selecting the appropriate option in the settings of the customer's browser or by means of additional programs. Further information is available via the help function of the browser used by the respective customers. If a customer decides to deactivate cookies, this can result in the scope of the service being reduced, and it may be noticeable in negative effects when using the services provided by the executive body.
Use of Facebook social plugins
On its website, the executive body uses social plugins ("plugins"), which originate from the facebook.com social network, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). The plugins are identified by a Facebook logo. When the customer accesses a website, which is operated by the executive body and which contains such a plugin, the customer's browser sets up a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to the customer's browser, which then links it to the website.
Use of Facebook Remarketing
Collection and transmission of information:
Using the Google +1 function, it is possible to publish information worldwide. Via the Google +1 function, you and other users obtain personalised information from Google and our partners. Google stores not only the information which you have submitted as +1 content, but also information about the pages which you have viewed by clicking on +1. Your +1 can be displayed as information along with your profile name and your photo in Google services, such as in search results or in your Google profile, for example, or elsewhere on websites and advertisements.
Google records information on your +1 activities in order to improve the Google services for you and for others. In order to use the Google +1 function, you must have a globally visible, public Google profile, which must at least contain the name chosen for the profile. This name will be used in all Google services. In some cases, it is possible for the name to be replaced by another name which you have used when sharing information via your Google account. The identity of your Google profile can be displayed to users who know your e-mail address or who have access to other information relating to you and your identity.
Use made of the information gathered:
In addition to the intended uses outlined above, the information you provide will be used in accordance with the currently valid Google data protection regulations. It is possible that Google may publish collated statistics on users' +1 activities and/or forward these to users and partners such as publishers, advertisers or associated websites.
The executive body uses Twitter functions on its website. These functions are offered by Twitter, Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. By using Twitter and the "Re-Tweet" function, the websites you visit will be linked to your Twitter account and made known to other users. Data are also transmitted to Twitter in the process.
You can change your Twitter data protection settings via your account configuration at twitter.com/account/settings.
